Properties: White or off-white powder, bitter taste, density 1.12-1.20g/cm3, soluble in ethanol, acetone and benzene, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride, stable in air.
Uses: Used as a medium-speed accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and as an activator for thiazole, thiuram and sulfenamide accelerators. The resulting product has good aging resistance. It is mainly used to manufacture rubber products such as tires, rubber sheets and shoe soles.
